Mary's Nurturing November
by Mary Bullard
November is a wonderful month for Self-Nurturing reminders & permission. Remember the rule of putting on your own oxygen mask before the child sitting next to you? It seriously just does not come naturally; taking care of ourselves first!?! If you want to get good or great at anything it takes persistence & practice!
To Self-Nurture is to care for & engage in the growth or development of your Soul (Spiritual Health), your Mind (Mental Health) & your Body (Physical Health). Each one is as important as the other.
Now is the time to begin Nurturing your Soul by listening to your intuition as I would say. My eldest son Nathan would say; Listen to your Spidey senses? My Youngest son, William would probably say; Listen to your gut? Yes, to all these! Listen to yourself this month. Listen to your needs & desires. Listen Inward. Listen to your God-Self -Guiding you to a Better You! Imagine taking the path of least resistance…doesn’t that feel great! Yes, please!
Pausing for some “You” time is vital to be able to hear what your heart desires. Journaling, Mediating or Simply quiet time alone is a great way to quiet the mind-not to think NO-thing but to hear what surfaces…to then engage your wonderful FREE WILL and then choose whether you want that thought to be your current truth or to replace that old unnecessary paradigm with a brand-new shiny belief! Some thoughts I am not sure what to do with, so I file them in an imaginary, to be filed later, bin.
Self-nurturing has been ignored by most humans all around the world; taking the back seat to paying the bills, dealing with life & even chasing the dream seems to never pause some days. Take time each day & consciously breathe: inhale Love, pause, exhale, Gratitude. You will be amazed what starts to happen when you consciously breathe each morning when you wake up as appose to breathing by default. An Awakening occurs-I wish this for you all!
As we all know our Bodies require oxygen, nutrients, water & sunshine to stay alive; it also requires many of the things we seem to overlook or deprive ourselves from mostly due to time and money constraints. At least that is what we mostly blame our lack of self-nurturing on. Physical life is motion; movement. Take time each day to consciously create movement; love your body enough to allow it to stretch, flex and show off its abilities.
Let’s all share the importance of creating daily, weekly & monthly self-nurturing habits.
Have fun with our word search – As you read each word & search for its letters may you find yourself impressing these reminders of loving and nurturing yourself well beyond November.
I love & adore you all!
